Sacred Sounds

In 2023, I met a young Artist in Residence in Sion, Switzerland who was working on a sound and light project with the sounds of the Rhone River. She transmitted the sounds of the Rhone River into a subwoofer and vibrated the water in a vessel that sat atop it, and took black and white photographs. The images revealed a new font of letters an she titled her project “The Rhone speaks.”

I was inspired to consider what images could be revealed with other sounds.
